The story
The Volvo P1800 was the sports coupe, built between 1961 and 1972 by the Swedish automotive manufacturer Volvo. The model was designed in 1961 by Swedish designer Pelle Petterson, who was then working for the Italian coachbuilder Frua. This was the second model with which Volvo sought to penetrate the sports car market. The first model, the P1900, was unsuccessful. Quality issues were fatal for that car, a mistake that Volvo would not repeat with the P1800. A white 1800 S with license plate ST 1 was used in the 1960s in the successful TV series The Saint, with Roger Moore as Simon Templar. This P1800 presented here is actually an 1800 E, but during the partial restoration of the car, the injection system was replaced with two SU carburetors. The car has had occasional issues with the injection system. It now runs beautifully and has also received power steering, making it a very pleasant and easy car to drive. The Volvo is painted in metallic red with red leather interiors. A stunning color combination. Additionally, the original wheels of the 1800 E contribute to the car's robust character. In short, a beautiful Volvo Sport that is suitable for everyday use. If you wish to sell your vintage or classic car, Metropole Sales can purchase it or take it on consignment. Consignment relieves you of the burden of the selling process. Furthermore, your car will be presented both online and in the showroom to a national and international audience of enthusiasts.
